This is my final image, of the 3 that I produced, and completes my three final images of Karter. They all work together well to create a sense of love and links to my theme of love, as they are supposed to be a collection of family portraits that show a sense of love. I think I have achieved this here, as with the other photos, especially through my choice of framing, the soft-focus effect and the enhanced colours.

Final Image Construction 3- Karter's Postcard
For my final image of the 3 final images that I wanted to produce, I chose to make a kind of postcard collage of Karter, showing his happy, mishcievous side. I begun doing this by selecting four images and re-sizing them so that the all fitted on the page. I wanted ones where he was doing something slightly different, or pulling different facial expressions, but still wanted him to be central in the frame for each photo, which he is in all of these.
After I had chosen and re-sized the photos, I then added in some changes and effects, in keeping with what I had done on my other photos. I changed the vibrancy for each photo to give it more colour and life. I also added anotehr layer, with the gaussian blur and changed the opacity, to create a soft focus effect, like my other final images.
Finally to create the postcard effect and to tie together the four images better, I added in a rectangle around each photo and moved them behind each photo, so that it created a border for each and for the whole collected images.
Final Image 2- Karter's Blanket
This is my second final image, which links back to the first one in terms of style, as it uses the soft focus and keeps the sense of family love through my portraits of my nephew Karter. I really like the white vignette effect and the soft-focus effect again, as it links back to Anne Geddes. I also like the way the colour makes Karter seem bright and happy in the photo.
Final Image Construction 2- Karter's Blanket
This was the second image that I chose to turn into my 2nd final piece, I chose this for his innocent and happy face and the way that he was framed in the shot, being central and taking up a good amount of space. I also liked the way the blanket fell in this shot.
The first thing that I did was to create the soft focus effect again, in-keeping with what I had done before, by adding another layer, adding gaussian blur and reducing the opacity so that you can see through this layer.
I though tthat the colours in the photo were a bit dull, so I added a vibrancy adjuster and played with this, until the colours had more life about them and gave a warmer feel to the photo.
After changing the vibrancy and adding the soft focus, I thought that there was too much space around the edge of the photo and that it took away from the image of Karter, so to focus on him more I added an oval, vignette mask, that blanked out the edges and that faded around the image of Karter, adding to the warmth of the photo and linking to the sense of innocance on his face.
Final Image- Karter Loves Flying
This is my first final image of Karter. I think the soft focus works really well here, as do the different facial expressions from the two images of him. It is a cute picture, that fits into the theme of love as it is a loving photograph of a member of my family. I think the photo has a fun quality about it too and really fits into the type of photo that I wanted to create, in a similar style to Anne Geddes.
Final Image Construction- Karter Loves Flying
I chose to use one of the images of Karter where he seems to have his eyes closed, so that it is like he is dreaming. I have cut out the image of him on the bean-bag and enlarged this slightly, taking some of the background from the shot and enlarging this to cover the back of the photo. I think this is an effective way to frame the shot and makes it seem quite natural.
One of the key things that I wanted to do was to create the soft-focus effect that Anne Geddes has used, and to do this I copied the layer of Karter on the bean-bag, added a Gaussian blur to it and then lowered the opacity of the top layer, so that you can see through it. This creates the soft focus effect and I think it works really well here to make the picture warmer, cuter and with a sense of love.
To give the picture a sense of fun, and to make it seem more obvious that Karter was dreaming, I added in a white, thought-bubble shape, that I then filled with another of the photos that i took of Karter. This photo was changed by adding puppet warping it, meanign that I could move his arm & legs without changing his body, and then making it seem like he was flying, rather than crawling. I also added a cape, that I obtained from another found image, to make it seem like he was thinking about being a superhero.

Compositional Expermiments- Final Photos of Karter- Blanket
I have taken photos of karter. I did this by choosing where I would take the image so that I get a good quality photo. I also did this by looking at Anne Geddes style of working and taking some photos in this style. I have wrapped Karter up in a blanket and have taken the photos. I took the photos in different positions to get the different effects and to get the different facial expressions that he was making. I wanted to use natural light and a light coloured blanket to show his innocence and purity and tried to frame him so that he was in the centre and took up most of the image.
By doing this I wanted to acheive some images done in he same style of work of Anne Geddes. I also wanted to achieve some good images that I maybe able to use in my final peice. This relates to my theme as Karter is my nephew and I was doing love so it shows something that I love.
From doing this I have learnt new skills on a camera like making sure it is at the right focus to make my images come out clearer. I also learnt that changing the angle of the camera or the position that Karter was sitting in helps o bring out the best in the image.
Doing this has helped me by allowing me to experiment with the camera and also it has helped me to understand different settings on a camera.
I think that I will use either the last image of him sitting down, or the one where he is crawing, looking into the camera, as these images had the effect of him looking cute and innocent. I think that I will change the background though and maybe use some lighting and soft focus effects to get the final result that I want.
