Alix Maklka

Alix Maklka was born in the south of france. He was first an art director which then lead him into fashion photography. First his main focous as an art director was props and objects but that soon turned to clothing when he became intrested in fashion. I have chosen this artist because his use of colour, fashion and models is quite unique and visually appealing. This will inspire me within my work because i will experiment with the use of colour.

David LaChapelle

dave was born in march of 1963 and his work follows a hyper-realistic aesthetic style with social messages combined. His work caught the eye of Andy warhol who then offered him a job at a magazine. This lead to his intrest in the music indusrty which is why he moved on to, making music videos. I have chosen him because he uses very vibrant colours and I also like the play ful background images.

Mann Ray

mann ray was born on  August 27, 1890 and died on  November 18, 1976 and lived most of his life in france alothough he was American.  His style was surrealism and most of his images were black and white. He was also a renowned fashion photographer. He was influenced by Bill Brandt. The thing that inspires me is the way he caputures emotion through the eyes of his model. I also like the way he uses a props such as gems to represent tear drops.

David Hockney

David Hockney was born on 9 July 1937  and lived in yorkshire in the uk. His main style is pop art and also follows a cubism theme much like Pablo picasso who was his main influence for this picture. I have chosen him because i admire the way he uses compistion in his work. This use of compersition will inspire my work later on.
